The Future You Have is in Debt Consolidation

Are you one of these people who just can’t seem to get enough of those plastic cards with the cute little emblems letting everyone know you are capable of paying for anything you want because you are toting around a VISA or MasterCard? Do you like the fact you have more credit cards than anyone you know? How about credit limits? Do you have higher credit limits than anyone else in your family? If so, you hold in your hands, or your wallet, your future and it is going to be a future comprised of loan applications and debt consolidation.

People who flash credit cards around more than cash are often saying to their friends and family members, “Hey, I’m in good credit standing. I have good credit.” Seemingly, people are proud to wave the credit cards around and the more they have the better they like it. You name it and they have it. They tote the Discover Card, The Diners Club, American Express, MasterCard and Visa. They also tote around the gas card and the department store cards. They have so much credit they truly feel like they own stock in plastic.

What these people don’t know is they are screaming out loud, “I’M in DEBT.” Yes, it’s true. When people are flashing the plastic these days, others are thinking to themselves, wow, they really have a lot of debt piling up on them not “gee, wouldn’t it be great to be them and have all of those credit cards?” The reason is because business minded individuals understand it is only a matter of time before these people go belly-up running for the nearest bank to consolidate their bills. They know their future is looking bleaker by the minute so envy isn’t something that comes to mind. Debt consolidation is a different story. They know where these guys are headed the moment they see all of the plastic cards in the person’s wallet.

If you are in debt to banks because you are carrying around their credit card, do yourself a favor and do away with the card as quickly as you can. If you are already in debt neck deep, take a moment to assess the damage and then do something about it. Take out a consolidation loan and get out of debt as quickly as you can. Start saving money instead of spending it on high interest credit cards. Shop smart, shop with cash and don’t charge anything unless you simply can’t pay cash for it. For instance, make it a rule to only use credit cards for business expenses and travel reservations and remember there really is a reason cash is king.
